dc.description	The fungi are attributed many benefits on human health, such as medicinal plants. Not all are poisonous or edible, there are other important uses. In this article, the property of fungi to obtain natural pigments is highlighted. The dyes obtained from microorganisms have the advantage of being pigments with specific shades, without harmful effects for health and with multiple economic benefits at an industrial level. This research aimed to obtain natural pigments (carotenoids specifically) for use in animals from two fungi: Pycnoporus sanguineus and Rhodotorula spp. P. sanguineus is found as red-orange fruiting bodies, it has been studied mainly to degrade lignin and wood cellulose and for the production of cinnabarin (antibiotic). In the case of Rhodotorula spp is a yeast, its colonies are characterized by being bright orange, has been studied for the presence of carotenoids. In the laboratory, they were isolated and purified on solid media, liquid media tests were carried out that favored their growth and production of the dye, and scaling was carried out to obtain the highest biomass and, therefore, the pigment. The fungi were lyophilized, cells were ruptured with liquid nitrogen and sieved, obtaining a fine powder that was given to the animals as part of their diet, with which it was possible to increase the egg yolk coloration, from 12 to 14 of tonality, according to the yellow fan.	en-US
dc.description	A los hongos se le atribuyen muchos beneficios sobre la salud humana, tal como a las plantas medicinales. No todos son venenosos o comestibles, existen otros usos importantes. En este artículo se resalta la propiedad que tienen los hongos para obtener pigmentos naturales. Los colorantes obtenidos de microorganismos cuentan con la ventaja de ser pigmentos con tonalidades específicas, sin efectos nocivos para la salud y con múltiples beneficios económicos a nivel industrial. Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo la obtención de pigmentos naturales (carotenoides específicamente) para su uso en animales a partir de dos hongos: Pycnoporus sanguineus y Rhodotorula spp. P. sanguineus se encuentra como cuerpos fructíferos de color rojo-anaranjado, ha sido estudiado principalmente para degradar lignina y celulosa de la madera y por la producción de cinabarina (antibiótico). En el caso de Rhodotorula spp es una levadura, sus colonias se caracterizan por ser de color anaranjado brillante, ha sido muy estudiada por la presencia de carotenoides. En el laboratorio, se aislaron y purificaron en medio sólido, se realizaron pruebas de medios líquidos que favorecieran su crecimiento y producción del colorante y se realizó el escalamiento para la mayor obtención de biomasa y por ende, del pigmento. Los hongos fueron liofilizados, se realizó una ruptura células con nitrógeno líquido y se tamizó, obtenido un polvo fino que se les suministró a los animales como parte de su dieta, con quienes se logró aumentar la coloración de la yema del huevo, de 12 a 14 de tonalidad, según el abanico de color amarillo.	es-ES
