Estudio de la perspectiva de las habilidades blandas y su importancia por parte de los profesores y los estudiantes del área de Informática Empresarial del Colegio Técnico Profesional de Cartagena

Abstract

Soft skills are defined as those linked to the capacity of the professional to be related to others, to communicate, to share information, to solve problems, to show initiative and creativity, to work in team groups to lead, to motivate, to empathize, to work cooperatively and in network to influence people, among others, being necessary for its effective performance in a labor position as individual. The present research project takes as main target to analyze the position of soft skills and its importance on teachers and students as part of the Business Informatics field at the Professional Technical School of Colegio Técnico Profesional de Cartagena for the design of a proposal that promotes them by the project evaluation. The investigation describes some specific intentions: to investigate the concept and perspective of the teachers and students on soft skills, its importance in the evaluation for projects; to understand the soft skills that the trainers promote with the evaluation by projects; to determine the soft skills needed according to the employers and the graduates ones from the area of Business Informatics for a future efficient performance; to determine the theoretical and practical needs for the teaching personnel as for the evaluation by projects and to prepare a didactic handle bar for the implementation of the evaluation through projects directed to educators of the Business Informatics area of the Colegio Técnico Profesional de Cartagena. The research from a qualitative approach to a descriptive view is looking for how to make use of the information gathered by the researchers across: questionnaires, interviews and focal group, directed to and the informants integrated for: graduates, professors and students of tenth level of the Business Informatics area of Colegio Técnico Profesional de Cartagena, night section and employers of towns as Liberia, Carrillo, Santa Cruz and Nicoya. Because of that, the results are offered by categories:  Perspective of the soft skills and its importance, from the criterion of the teachers and the tenth graders students of the Business Informatics area; It explains how the involved actors consider to be necessary the promotion of the soft skills for a better labor performance.  Perspective of the soft skills and its importance, from the criterion of the graduate ones from the Business Informatics part and employers of the locals; it concludes that it is of supreme importance that the students of technical education develops soft skills because there are elements to be more efficient and effective.  The opinion of the evaluation by projects is that, from the criterion of the teachers of tenth grade of Business Informatics is: the evidence of the importance that takes the evaluation by projects in the promotion of soft skills, although the teachers do not need a coherent and pertinent definition, of the same one.  Requirements (theoretical and practical needs) in the evaluation by projects, according to the tenth graders Business Informatics’ teachers’ criterion. These conclusions allow sustaining a proposal of didactic guide based on two elements the Design Thinking Methodology and the use of Free Software. The central purpose is to provide the teacher with the inputs of an orientation at the time of applying the evaluation by projects.

Las habilidades blandas o “soft skills”, se definen como aquellas vinculadas con la capacidad del profesional para relacionarse con otros, comunicar, compartir información, solucionar problemas, poseer iniciativa y creatividad, trabajar en equipo, liderar, motivar, empatizar, trabajar colaborativamente y en red, y para influir a los demás, entre otras, siendo necesarios para su desempeño efectivo en un puesto laboral como individuo. El presente proyecto de investigación tiene como principal objetivo analizar la perspectiva de las habilidades blandas y su importancia por parte de los profesores y los estudiantes del área de Informática Empresarial del Colegio Técnico Profesional de Cartagena, con el fin de diseñar una propuesta que las potencialice, mediante la evaluación de proyectos. La investigación describe como propósitos específicos: indagar el concepto y perspectiva de los profesores y estudiantes sobre habilidades blandas, su importancia en la evaluación por proyectos; comprender las habilidades blandas que potencializan los profesores con la evaluación por proyectos; determinar las habilidades blandas requeridas según los empleadores y los egresados del área de Informática Empresarial para un futuro desempeño eficiente; determinar las necesidades teóricas y prácticas del personal docente en cuanto a la evaluación por proyectos y elaborar una guía didáctica para la implementación de la evaluación por proyectos dirigida a profesores del área de Informática Empresarial del Colegio Técnico Profesional de Cartagena. El estudio desde un enfoque de tipo cualitativo de corte descriptivo, busca aprovechar la información recolectada por las investigadoras a través de: cuestionarios, entrevistas y grupo focal, dirigidas a los y las informantes integrados por: egresados, docentes y estudiantes de décimo año del área de informática empresarial del Colegio, Sección nocturna y empleadores de la zona de Liberia, Carrillo, Santa Cruz y Nicoya. Los resultados de este trabajo son descritos a partir de las siguientes categorías: -Perspectiva de las habilidades blandas y su importancia, desde el criterio de los profesores y los estudiantes de décimo del área de Informática Empresarial; explica como los actores involucrados consideran necesario el fomento de las habilidades blandas para un mejor desempeño laboral. -Perspectiva de las habilidades blandas y su importancia, desde el criterio de los egresados del área de Informática Empresarial y empleadores de la Zona; los estudiantes de educación técnica deben desarrollar habilidades blandas porque son elementos claves para ser más eficiente y eficaz. -Opinión de la evaluación por proyectos, desde el criterio de los profesores de décimo del área de Informática Empresarial; a partir de la cual se logra evidenciar la importancia que tiene la evaluación por proyectos en el fomento de habilidades blandas, aunque las docentes no precisan una definición coherente y pertinente, de la misma. -Requerimientos (necesidades teóricas y prácticas) en la evaluación por proyectos, según el criterio de los profesores de décimo del área de Informática Empresarial. Esto permite sustentar una propuesta de guía didáctica fundamentada en dos elementos claves la metodología Design Thinking y el uso de software libre, con la finalidad de que el docente cuente con insumos de una orientación a la hora de aplicar la evaluación por proyectos.
