In the company El Tremedal S.A., located in the province of Alajuela, San Carlos canton, Venice district, MD-2 hybrid pineapple is produced for export as fresh fruit. This experiment aimed to determine the effect of several insecticides on the control of snails (Opeas pumilum and Cecillioides aperta) to incorporate it in the conventional management of the farm. Eight treatments were established with four replicates each, arranged in four blocks within the experimental area. The treatments to be evaluated are classified as T1: Biorep Ac (8 l / ha), T2: Oxamil 24% (6 l / ha), T3: Etoprofos 72% (6 l / ha), T4: Clorpirifos 48% (8 l / ha), T5: Benfuracarb 40% (8 l / ha). T6: Fenamifos 40% (8 l / ha), T7: Fenamifos 15% gr (40 kg/ha), Etoprofos 72% (6 l / ha), Clorpirifos 48% (8 l / ha) Absolute witness. The first six treatments were applied at 15 and 30 days after sowing (dds) in a way directed to the axilla of the plant. In T7, Fenamifos 15% gr (40 kg/ha), then Etoprofos 72% and finally Clorpirifos 48%, were applied first at seven, fifteen and thirty days. Eight samples were taken weekly to determine the incidence, severity and mortality by treatment and by sampling sector of snails and other soil pests. The results showed that, in terms of the incidence of plants with snails, the areas treated with Nemacur® 15 GR and the experimental treatment of Finca presented the lowest incidence (15%), towards the end of the experiment, differing from other treatments; Clorpirifos 48% maintained a constant incidence rate (45%). Regarding the severity of snails, only statistical differences were presented in sixth sds between the experimental treatment areas of Finca (32.5%) and Biorep® Ac (94.17%). For mortality, the area corresponding to the experimental treatment of Finca differed from all other treatments (57.51%); (57.45% and 53.04%) was the highest percentage of snail mortality in the root and leaf sectorses
