dc.description	The objective was to make observations on the morphological development of the tacaco (Sechium tacaco) seedlings. 50 tacaco seeds were sown, and the development of the seedlings was evaluated. 30 days after the emergence of the seedlings, in two of them it was found that, after the death of the main stem, a new stem emerged from the interior of the seed coat, from the cotyledonous buds. This is the first notice about the existence of cotyledonous buds in tacaco; this is a significant scientific event for this species.	en-US
dc.description	El objetivo fue realizar observaciones sobre el desarrollo morfológico de las plántulas de tacaco (Sechium tacaco). Se sembraron 50 semillas de tacaco, y se evaluó el desarrollo de las plántulas. A los 30 días de la emergencia de las plántulas, en dos de ellas se encontró que, luego de la muerte del tallo principal, se produjo la emergencia de un nuevo tallo desde el interior de la cubierta seminal, a partir de las yemas cotiledonares. En la presente investigación se informa por primera vez sobre la existencia de yemas cotiledonares en tacaco, lo que representa un hallazgo científico en esta especie.	es-ES
