"Establecimiento y evaluación de una plantación con mezcla de especies considerando su gremio ecológico, en la Virgen de Sarapiquí, Costa Rica"
Abstract
It was established a forest field with a species mix in a field that is located in San Ramon at
La Virgen de Sarapiquí wish belongs to Puro Verde Paraíso Forestal S. A. This field was
made thinking in a wood production to a short, half and long period of time, a permanent
forest hedge, the greater quantity to grow and an interaction between the species that
procure the highest growing rate. To propose the different species mix was important to take
care of the field topography, the different species requirements and the ecological guild that
was propose by Finegan (1993) before. According to the ecological guild we suggest three
different shifts: 10 years for the ones that belongs to the heliófitas efímeras guild, 20 years
for the durable heliófitas and 30 years for the species that belongs to the esciófitas guild. In
every year of growth opportunities we will plant the new specie that we had cut looking for the
best growth opportunities cycle, a forestal hedge for around 60 years that is the moment
when all the cut shifts coincide.
The guild with the majority natural mortality is the durable heliófitas with 20.32% in the flat
stratus, and a 10.28% in the moderate one.
Talking about the tree quality, the esciofitas stratus presents a 72.72% in 2 and 3 qualities in
the flat stratus and a 97.1% in the moderate one. The guild with the majority total high was
present by the heliofitas efimeras in the flat stratus and the moderate one with a average of
1.77m v 1.35 m respectively.
