Proyecto de graduación (Licenciatura en Ingeniaría en Producción Industrial). Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, Escuela de Ingeniería en Producción Industrial, 2017.es
This project was developed in the Grupo Pedregal company located in San Antonio de Belén, Heredia and consisted in the design of a process proposal for the correct execution of the quality control of aggregates, concrete blocks and pavers manufactured in their 11 production centers. Its main objective was to design a process that allows the management of the generation of samples, quality tests and reports for these products in an efficient and safe way. In the project's diagnostic stage, the current procedural structure of the Quality Control System was analyzed to identify the internal customers and determine and prioritize their most important needs, which were subsequently translated into design features for the process proposal. At this stage, the work measurement was carried out in the quality control laboratory to know their productive time and their capacity so that this data would be considered within the design of the proposed solution. In the design stage, two different process proposals were developed, the first was designed under an ideal scenario and the second was designed under the conditions of restriction imposed by the company. To design these proposals, at first, the definition of the general structure was necessary, to later evaluate and include all the necessary resources for its design, the stage ended with the detailed construction of the architecture of both proposals through process flow diagrams. Once the design was finished, a comparative economic analysis was developed between both proposals, where it was obtained that the proposal that best suited the financial restrictions of the company is the proposal number two because this one presented the lowest equivalent annual cost. The project ends with the validation of the proposals designed by simulation techniques, where it is obtained that the number one proposal has the greatest potential for improvement, being the only one capable of complying with the new sampling schedule proposed in this Project. As an extra element of validation, both proposals were presented to 5 experts in quality and processes which, according to their engineering criteria, were mostly inclined (4 out of 5) towards the number one proposal, this being the recommended proposal to the company for the correct execution of their quality controles
