dc.descriptionThis article aims to develop a journey around the concept of sustainable development, starting with the antecedents that precede its generation, analyzing its definition and implications, and then identify its components: social, economic and ecological. Their analysis is deepened through different approaches: contextual, conceptual, disciplinary and geopolitical; Establishing its limitations in the clarity of the concept and its applicability. It emphasizes the types of sustainability, very strong, strong and weak and the influence that the current economic system has had to determine the type of interrelation between the different components of the system, highlighting the preponderant role that conservation of the ecological system must have as Supplier of the inputs that allow to enhance the social and economic system. Likewise, it analyzes the substantial differences between sustainability and sustainability, delving into their origin and meaning. Finally, a brief analysis is made on the implications of climate change and the mitigation and adaptation measures that need to be taken to respond to a growing problem that threatens the reach of what is known as sustainability.en-US
dc.descriptionEl presente artículo tiene como finalidad desarrollar un recorrido en torno al concepto de desarrollo sostenible, iniciando con los antecedes que preceden su generación, analizando su definición e implicaciones, para luego identificar sus componentes: social, económico y ecológico. Se profundiza su análisis a través de diferentes enfoques: contextual, conceptual, disciplinar y geopolítico; estableciendo sus limitantes en la claridad del concepto y en su aplicabilidad. Se resalta los tipos de sostenibilidad, muy fuerte, fuerte y débil y  la influencia que ha tenido el sistema económico actual para determinar, el tipo de interrelación entre los diferentes componentes del sistema, resaltando el papel preponderante que debe tener la conservación del sistema ecológico como proveedor de los insumos que permiten potencializar el sistema social y económico. Así mismo, se analiza las diferencias sustanciales entre sostenibilidad y sustentabilidad ahondando en su origen y significado. Finalmente se realiza un breve análisis acerca de las implicaciones del cambio climático y las medidas de mitigación y adaptación que se hace necesario tomar para responder a una problemática en crecimiento que pone en riesgo el alcance de lo que se conoce como sostenibilidad.es-ES
