Diseño arquitectónico de la estación intermedia de tren en San Joaquín de Flores : un modelo de movilidad activa y regeneración urbana. Caso específico San Joaquín de Flores, Heredia

Abstract

El presente proyecto final de graduación tiene como objetivo principal diseñar la estación intermedia de tren en San Joaquín de Flores, como un modelo de movilidad activa y regeneración urbana, consolidando este espacio como un nodo clave dentro del sistema de transporte interurbano en la región de Heredia. La problemática central abordada en la investigación es la obsolescencia y disfuncionalidad de la infraestructura ferroviaria existente, que no responde a las necesidades actuales ni a las proyecciones del sistema de transporte metropolitano. A través de este proyecto, se propone un diseño que favorezca un entorno más accesible y conectado, contribuyendo al desarrollo sostenible de San Joaquín y su área circundante. La nueva estación no solo beneficiaría a los habitantes locales, sino que también integraría el transporte de manera más eficiente en la región, promoviendo un crecimiento ordenado y mejorando la conectividad en el área metropolitana.

The main objective of this final graduation Project is to design tne intermediate train station in San Joaquín de Flores as a model of active mobility and urban regeneration, consolidating this space as a key node within the interurban transportation system in the Heredia region. The central issue addressed in the research is the obsolescence and dysfunctionality of the existing railway infrastructure, wich does not meet current needs or the projections of the projections of the metropolitan transportation system. Througn this Project, a design is proposed that promotes a mor accesible and connected environment, contributing to the sustainable development of San Joaquín and its sorrounding area. The new station would not only Benefit residents but also integrate transportation more efficiently in the region, fostering orderly growth and improving connectivity in the metropolitan area.
