The constant increase in the number of tourists traveling around the world, has led governments in each country to work permanently and more specifically on tourism, guaranteeing better management in the influx of visitors at places, in order to control the use of natural resources, and attend the needs of inhabitants, as the imminent shortage of vital elements for survival is a subject even more delicate and urgency to deal with. As a part of the projects to eradicate this problem and in the middle of a pandemic several international organizations had provided lots of alternatives that must be taken into count in the development plans for a better public policy. In the points to deal with, we have tourism carrying overcapacity at interest places since derivate the quick increase of population in the world and the increase of travel, the limit of people that must be in the same space has been exceeded and with that the increase of problems at a local level un touristic destinations. Because of the current situation of COVID-19, tourism was one of the most affected. To guarantee the development and resurgence of post-pandemic tourism, it needs to lead to good planning based on the new passengers’ and locals’ requirements on the subject of biosecurity and trust in each touristic destination, in addition to bet for sustainable tourism.El constante incremento de turistas que se desplazan a nivel mundial ha hecho que los gobiernos de cada país trabajen de manera permanente y cada vez más específica en materia turística, garantizando una mejor gestión de la afluencia de visitantes en los lugares, esto con el objetivo de poder controlar el uso de recursos naturales y atender las necesidades de los habitantes, pues la inminente escasez de elementos vitales para la supervivencia es un tema cada vez más delicado y de urgencia a tratar. Como parte de los proyectos para poder erradicar dicho problema y con una pandemia de por medio, diversos organismos internacionales han brindado herramientas que deben ser adecuadas a los planes de desarrollo para una mejor política pública. Dentro de los puntos a observar está la sobrecarga de capacidad turística en los lugares de interés ya que, derivado del crecimiento acelerado de habitantes en el mundo y el aumento de viajes, el límite de personas que puede estar en un mismo espacio se ha visto excedido y con ello detona el aumento de problemas a nivel local en los destinos turísticos. Por los recientes acontecimientos del virus del COVID-19, la actividad turística fue de las más afectadas. Para poder garantizar el desarrollo y resurgimiento del turismo post-pandemia, se tiene que llegar a una buena planeación con base en las nuevas exigencias de los pasajeros y locales en cuanto a la bioseguridad y confianza que cada destino turístico brinde, además de apostar por un turismo sustentable.
