dc.descriptionThis article delves into Adorno’s early text, “The Idea of Natural History”,which can be seen as a precursor to a research proto-program focused onthe problem of illusion. From the theoretical, methodological, and normativeframework of critical theory, this article’s hypothesis holds that Adorno’s earlytext provides essential resources for understanding his intellectual projectas a sophisticated theory of illusion capable of uncovering the structuresunderlying the apparent forms of modern reality. The article begins byexamining the context in which the text was developed and then analyzes theinfluence of Lukács and Benjamin on Adorno’s concept of second nature. Itthen discusses illusion as an “authentic problem of natural-history” and tracesthe presence of this theme throughout Adorno’s work, suggesting that it couldbe interpreted as a critical theory of illusion. Finally, the article emphasizesthe relevance of this underlying theme for understanding Adorno’s theoreticalproposal, especially in a contemporary context where deciphering illusionis crucial for understanding the multiple dimensions and challenges of oursocieties.en-US
dc.descriptionEl artículo explora el texto juvenil de Adorno “La idea de historianatural” como un protoprograma investigativo centrado en la problemáticade la apariencia. A partir del marco teórico-metodológico y normativo de lateoría crítica, la hipótesis del artículo sostiene que el texto del joven Adornobrinda insumos importantes para entender su proyecto intelectual como unasofisticada teoría de la apariencia, capaz de desvelar las estructuras quesoportan las formas aparentes de la realidad moderna. En primer lugar, secontextualiza la aparición del escrito, seguido de un análisis de la influenciade Lukács y Benjamin en la concepción de la segunda naturaleza en Adorno.Posteriormente, se aborda la apariencia como un “verdadero problemahistórico-natural” y se rastrea la presencia de este tema a lo largo de la obradel filósofo frankfurtiano, sugiriendo que ésta podría interpretarse como unateoría crítica de la apariencia. Finalmente, se resalta la relevancia de estehilo conductor para interpretar su propuesta teórica, especialmente en uncontexto contemporáneo donde descifrar la apariencia se vuelve esencial paracomprender múltiples dimensiones y problemáticas de nuestras sociedades.es-ES
