Análisis descriptivo de la construcción de las obras de protección en las márgenes del Río Parrita

Abstract

In the last years, the canton of Parrita had been affected by the overflowing of the Parrita River. This has been cause by diverse climatic factors like tropical storms, hurricanes or extended raining periods. These natural phenomena that normally occur during the months of higher precipitations lead to big economical losses to the citizens, to the local government and to the state, because they required movement of staff and different resources from several entities. As a consequence of the damages cause by the precipitations in October 2007 and more recently Alma torment on May 2008, was established the need of constructions of new dike sections and of reparations on the existing and damaged structures. Due this situation, is necessary to prepare a report that detail the process of the construction of the new sections of this dike that protects to the communities of Parrita Center, Sitradique, The Julieta and New Town, all located in the urban center of the canton. With this propose, a detailed analysis of the codes, laws and all the related biography, a study of the effects caused by these phenomena on our country, a review of recommendations of civil engineer design and an analysis of existing topography was made. Based on this complete study, was created a work plan with the specific activities and milestones necessary and was made a maintenance proposal. Once obtained all the necessary information, was determined the condition and the necessary built structure capacity to bear the consequences of the natural phenomena that affect the Parrita basin.
