Abstract

This report of the professional practice shows a proposal of an improvement in the inspection process in the area of Direction of Architecture and Engineering (DAI) of Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social in their projects, mostly hospitals. To reach the development of this document it required taking part of the inspection to get involved into the process and then it proceeded to analyze all the tools, techniques and procedures that DAI use to make the inspection and control of the buildings, with the foregoing it was easy to recognized a series of aspects that can get improved. Some data during the performance of this project stands in the elaboration of verification lists, especially for civil area activities. As a conclusion, this project shows that the inspection process of DAI is very well structured and that allows offering a quality product.
