Evaluación del sistema eléctrico instalado, estudio de puesta a tierra, evaluación del factor de potencia, actualización del diagrama unifilar y diseño de Manuales de Mantenimiento Autónomo en la empresa COCORISA
Resumen
The Company Corrugadora de Costa Rica S.A. under the symbol COCORISA, along with
companies related Sacos and Fotolit, belongs to Smurfit Kappa group, which is one of the
leading companies worldwide in the manufacture of packaging paper-based, with 370
operating centers distributed in 34 countries, of which 21 are in Europa and the remaining 13
in America.
The operations center in Costa Rica is located in Lagunilla, Heredia, a place where the
three companies are located, above the Sacos Company was located in the province of
Cartago.
COCORISA Company engaged in the manufacture and forming of corrugated cardboard,
offering a wide range of packaging solutions made of paper, for the industrial, commercial,
agricultural and others.
The main objective of this project is to provide the company with necessary information
about the stade of the grid, which facilitates decision-making and allow redesign implement
measures to increase reliability and security system. There electrical recommendations are
based on NEC 2008 and are set according to the criteria overload, over-sizing, voltaje drop
and good electrical practices.
The electrical lifting it possible to design technical papers and visual control boards, to
facilitate the identification of load and branch circuits in the electrical network.
A service for a study of the system grounding in the company was hired, due to the
ambiguity of its initial design, which caused the mixture between neutral and ground
conductors, creating the appearance of currents in the ground mesh, it’s for this reason that a
study was done to determine compliance with current regulations, according to the operations
conditions. The necessary recommendations are made in order to ensure comprehensive
security of personnel and facilities.
This project also includes an analysis of power factor, due to the incorporation of the
company Sacos, which includes an entire production line that directly affects this parameter,
viii
so a total demand in projected by the two companies together and necessary reactive power
is calculated to compensate the system, in order to correct the power factor to a value defined
by the maintenance department, avoiding fines billing.
These improvements include updating the unifiliar diagram, designed to show the power
distribution in the plant, obtain the demand factor of load centers, the location of the branch
and technical data such as wire size, protection, pipelines, distances, short-circuit and others.
Autonomous maintenance manuals for corrugating were designed, based on manuals and
maintenance protocols already used by the department, which include aspects of inspection,
cleaning, lubrication and security measures, each activity incorporates its respective
frequency, duration, and photographs for easy interpretation, and identification, with the aim
of a continuous improvement both in maintaining the machines as across the enterprise.
Some recommendations on a general level was established, through observation an
identification not recommended situations, in order to improve the performance of machines
and electrical system, hiring additional services included as a study of power quality, shortcircuit,
protection coordination and substation maintenance.
