dc.description.abstractThe need to implement specialized software in the number and spatial analysis of road infrastructure projects gave rise to the present graduation project. The implementation of software allowed to simplify and streamline the design processes through complex numerical analysis and the analysis of spatial reality. The road infrastructure project corresponds to the design of the extension of National Routes Nos. 3 and 106, section: Barreal-Lagunilla-Valencia. Specifically, it focuses on road geometric design, storm drainage design and pavement design. The geometric road design was developed according to AASHTO design criteria for horizontal alignment and vertical alignment; In this way, AutoDesk Civil 3D 2016 software was used. On the other hand, the design of storm drains was executed through the Rational Method and the Manning Formulation; subsequently, the software SWMM 5.2 was implemented to perform a comparison of results using both hydrological and hydraulic analysis methodologies. Furthermore, the pavement design was performed through the design methodology of AASHTO 1993 and the methodology of Empirical Mechanical Criteria; thus, the 3D Move Analysis 2.1 software was implemented to perform the structural analysis of the pavement layers.es
