The “Revitalization of el Tucanito theme park” project seeks to solve the deficiency and lack of infrastructure found at the Agua Caliente theme park in Ciudad Quesada. To boost the growth of recreational activities of local population and promote the use of this park. The project has two stages, a master plan and an intervention area. On the first one, there’s suggestion of activities for two cadastral plans out of the three that the lot has. The second stage is the intervention of the remaining cadastral plan. On the other hand, for the selection of activities of the intervention area, an analysis was done of the current offer within the impact area of the project with the intent of knowing the vacuums and the over-supply of activities. Also, a survey was completed with the population on Ciudad Quesada, la Palmera, Aguas Zarcas and Venecia districts to ascertain the needs for future users. The proposal allows construction in stages to benefit their owners, “La Asociación de la cultura y el ambiente de la zona norte” to make the project self-sustaining. Ultimately, it has design strategies that respect, preserve and consciously utilize the natural resources that surrounds it.
