This research analyzed the level of knowledge of the best practices proposed for the management of communications, between a group of professional subjects of project management and a documentary analysis on the same subject was made to identify the scope on communications management with which the professionals in the work of Project Management. Results showed that the perception on the management of the communications that the professionals in PM have is directed mostly to identify the communication as the handling of the critical information. Critical information have been generated during the development of the projects leaving aside communication topics that they could strengthen the work teams with the intention of reaching a greater number of successful projects. This document includes a guide that suggests a series of stages to strengthen the management of communications in projects including concepts and techniques of interpersonal, assertive and organizational communication.
