Estimación de productividad y costos de operación de equipos de diferente generación para movimientos de tierras de la empresa Macoma S.A

Abstract

This project reflects the necessity of the Macoma S.A. company to determine the real costs of their machinery usage per hour in order to obtain profitability parameters and performance of their operations, where the main point is the manner and methods in which the equipment is used as well as the physical and mechanical conditions of the machines, so, this is the reason this study was made comparing equipments of different generations for the company be able to take some decisions about its fleet. This analysis was carried out with on-site inspection for the following equipment: articulated dump trucks, conventional wagons and tractors considering the measurements were given in similar climatological and soil conditions and types of material among others. The main target of this project is to estimate the performance and the cost of the operation of the heavy machinery of different generations for the soil movements executed by the Macoma S.A. company. To meet the goals that were set within this graduation project it is necessary to satisfy all the needs of the type of information to carry out, characteristics and capabilities of the equipment, new control technologies, capacity of the machines operators, their performance, possession and operational costs. As a result of this study we obtained a tool that involves the operation's valuation factors of the equipment. The report contains the analysis of cost versus benefit through the inspection process applied in the various study sites.
