Diseño, Validación e Implementación de Sistema de Detección de Fallas, para Componentes Intel de Costa Rica, con HoldLastState
Abstract
The control systems at the facilities of Componentes Intel de Costa Rica are being affected by problems in their operation. It is evident that as equipment and materials age, failure of a certain process may occur, damaging the actuators of the company facilities and therefore affecting their production. Given these problems, a trial laboratory is held, where a solution capable to detect and manage failure on a sensor or transmitter must be proven and validated. This solution also alerts the staff in charge and maintains a stable control meanwhile the situation is resolved.
In order to provide a proper solution to the effects caused by failure on the equipment, a sampling study is held in regard of the operation of certain sensors and transmitters. Moreover, remote monitoring is held with some of the equipment, and failure circumstances are reproduced at the trial laboratory. This is held to analyze the statistical distribution of data and produce a system capable to prevent damage and therefore impact on production. Finally, the trial laboratory is presented with the final implementation of the failure detection system, with a hold last state mechanism.
