This project has as objective designing and implementing an energy management model applied to Hotel Condovac La Costa electrical area, where the monthly power consumption is reduced, making rational and efficient use of energy. Currently Condovac recorded an average energy consumption of 160 256 kWh / month, placing the hotel in the rate of medium voltage (T-MTa), being the valley interval period with the highest average energy consumption (64 931 kW h). Similar case happens with electricity demand, recording an average peak of 367.76 kW in valley period. Based on data from measurements made by ICE in the months of September and October 2014; and measurements made in March 2015 by Coopeguanacaste, it was achieved to recognized that all the villas are consuming about 60% of all the electricity from the hotel, which in this case are the water heaters and air conditioning units, the electrical equipment that have greater weight in the sector, with a percentage respectively 16% and 70 % of total consumption in the villas. An analysis in order to implement OCE's, focusing on investment of more efficient technologies that will reduce the electrical energy consumption of the hotel is done. Also the start of energy awareness campaigns, because is useless to invest in more efficient technologies, if they are not given the appropriate use. It also manages to implement schedule changes in various sectors of the hotel, in order to reduce operating electrical equipment in peak periods, where the rate has a much higher economic value.
