Abstract
As is well known, one of the issues of greatest concern to humanity is access to quality water for human consumption. There are many problems facing this precious resource such as those associated with variable climate (droughts, floods and global warming leads to climate change), which adds to the problems of pollution of anthropogenic origin, which can due to poor management of solid waste, raw sewage from domestic and industrial activities, dissolution of harmful gases, and others. Furthermore, it is clearly no sensiblización of the population, which the former have a false idea that this is a "finite resource" is used in an unbalanced way. Thus, despite being a necessary resource for the survival of humanity in our country like the world event not all people have access to this resource to meet their needs, which demonstrates the problem we have today and the need to find alternatives to solve it. An alternative is the detection and removal of contaminants in the water by functionalized carbon nanotubes, which have several advantages such as its low cost, wide range of pollutants that can remove and easy reuse and disposal. Will analyze this alternative in the pursuit of sustainable development and sustainability.
