|dc.description.abstract||Go-Labs is a software development company, it was founded in the beginning of 2014,
since its creation, Go-Labs provides technological solutions to customers in Costa Rica and
At the present time, the management of Go-Labs is working in a training and
standardization process for a new project management methodology, however, if this
process is not developed in a professional, systemic and standardized way the company has
the risk of continue with not desired results and waste of competitiveness.
This paper describes a proposal of creation for a Project Management Office (PMO) in
Go-Labs in order to become it in the entity that leads and controls the project management
change that the organization wants to implements in a professional way.
First, a diagnostic of the state of the organization in project management has been
developed. This activity will allow to have a preview about the methodologies, tools and
skills present in the company.
After the diagnostic, a proposal of Project Management Office will be designed, this
design will include important components like approach, structure and functions inside the
organization, also the roles and responsibilities of its members.
Finally, a strategy of implementation of the Project Management Office is presented, it
takes in consideration the scope of the plan, execution schedule, cost for the organization,
risks and communications plan to be developed.||es
