The Tourism in Guanacaste generates one of the most important sources of employment in the province, about the climatic conditions of Guanacaste, is unimaginable a hotel without an air conditioning system that guarantees comfort to its customers. Air conditioning systems are not a luxury, it is a necessity. In response to this need, air conditioning design was carried out using a hydronic system to meet the loading needs of a Danta beach hotel in Guanacaste. The design includes determination of the cooling load, dimensioning of pipes and ducts. The selection of equipment, the generation of the mechanical plans of distribution and the project budget, using ASHRAE design methods and design parameters of Clima Ideal SA. In addition, a feasibility analysis was performed using specialized Carrier: Hourly Analysis Program software and the Chiller System Optimizer to determine the feasibility of using a hydronic system with water-cooled condensers and air-cooled condensers. With the design, the load is 100 tons of refrigeration and through the feasibility analysis it was determined that by the climatic conditions of Guanacaste the water cooled chillers are the most efficient, through the energy analysis it was verified that the implementation of this project with A water-cooled condenser system generates a saving of $ 6000 per year in electricity consumption, through economic analysis, for low cooling load (less than 450 tons of cooling) using water-cooled condensers is not cost-effective, investment outweighs saving Obtained by the electric consumption, in a study period of 15 years.
