Resumen
The present project was developed in the administrative building of the headquarters of the Institute on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (IAFA), located in San Pedro de Montes de Oca. The project was carried out due to the need to diagnose and control lighting conditions in the IAFA, since a previous study by Quirós (2016) shows that the current lighting levels do not comply with the current national regulations. According to figures from the World Health Organization (2014), 80% of the world total of cases of visual disability can be avoided, despite this it is common to find deficiencies associated with the lighting system in work environments; currently in the IAFA, the lighting is deficient, this being the main disagreement of the institution in matters of health and safety at work, so it is considered of utmost importance the development of this project, as it facilitates the visualization of objects in its visual context it has positive effects on people, reducing fatigue, errors and accidents at work, it also contributes to increase the quantity and quality of work. The main objective proposes the development of a program to control the lighting conditions of the IAFA, in order to promote compliance with national regulations and create comfortable visual conditions. The project was descriptive and used tools such as questionnaires, checklists, cause-effect diagram, Dialux design software, lumens method, among others. Based on the analysis of the current situation, it was determined that the current lighting conditions in the IAFA do not comply with the current national regulations, so the control program for the lighting conditions is proposed, which includes a maintenance guide for the lighting system, a training plan, redistribution of lighting sources, as well as tools for evaluation and monitoring of lighting and program levels.
