This document aims to solve the problem occurred in the Shared Services Center of La Tecnológica S.A. in regards of the non-monitoring of the methodology established for project management, which generates: re work, the non-production of lessons learned and the lack of standardized documentation of completed projects. Initially a compilation of generalities of the organization in which the research was applied was carried out in order to put in context the characteristics of the Shared Services Center. Subsequently, all the terms to be used during the execution of the research concerning this document were conceptualized, emphasizing on the characteristics of a Project Management Office. Self-completed questionnaires, non-participant observation, and documentary analysis were applied as research instruments to gather the information that would allow the diagnostic of the current situation of the organization in terms of project management: categorizing it on a mid-low maturity level. The lack of a standardized methodology throughout the organization for the execution of projects and the lack of an entity to create and centralize documentation in projects already executed were identified as improvement areas. As a proposal to correct the problem addressed in the research, the creation of a consultative Project Management Office (PMO) in the CSC of La Tecnológica SA is proposed, whose main functions are the implementation and management of a standardized methodology for the management of projects, the creation and correct documentation of lessons learned and project management education for the entire population of CSC collaborators.
