Abstract
This report aims to show the design of a training plant to qualify the Technical Support Representative (TSR) in the topic of Instruments Control with NI systems. This methodology considers the book Product Design and Development by Karl Ulrich is used. This project stems from the company's need to provide a practical and realistic environment for engineers to learn and apply Instruments Control concepts. This improves understanding and knowledge retention, which in turn improves efficiency and the quality of support provided to customers. As a solution, a DC motor controller is proposed using the LabVIEW interface to operate in manual mode and in automatic mode by designing a PI controller to obtain a controlled response of the system. Additionally, an alternative method to obtain speed measurements using a vision system and NI's proprietary Vision Acquisition software was designed.
