Transformación de una antigua vivienda en locales comerciales

Abstract

The next project consists of the transformation of a two-storey house, to give it a use of commercial premises. It is the result of a structural analysis and design carried out to ensure its stability when the demolition of all the internal walls of the structure is carried out. The professional practice was carried out in a project located in San José, canton Hospital; property of the company Las Magnolias del Sur S.A. The main objective of this project is to rethink the structural design of a single-family house to adapt to the new commercial use, undergoing a real situation of preliminary studies, structural design, work planning, project budget, and contact with clients and contractors. For the realization of this project was used hydraulic machinery for the demolition, and construction of structural elements in reinforced concrete and structural steel. The project developed resulted in the adjusted design of the structure evidenced in the structural modification plans, in compliance with the current guidelines of Costa Rica, a global work budget and a Gantt diagram with the entire work planning.
