Diagnóstico del sistema de abastecimiento de agua de consumo de Ciudad de los Niños y elaboración de una propuesta de diseño

Unimproved systems of water supply constitute a risk for the consumers health. The first step to ensure the improvement of water supply system is to guarantee that its operation is adequate En quantity, pressure and velocity with the objective of making important decisions to improve water supply systems, the performed diagnostic allows to know the real conditions of each of the system elements. The aqueduct En study is owned and administered by Ciudad de los Niños. The diagnostic required topographic survey, computer simulations with CivilCAD, level test En the storage tanks and sanitary inspection of the aqueduct through the use of AyA instruments. The design proposal was carried at based of WaterGEMS, creating scenarios to know the behaviors En deafferents situations. The diagnostic stated that the current supply system is not hydraulically efficient because it does not fulfil AyA established values and the composed elements possess high risk levels. The modeling indicated that the supply flow is insufficient to guarantee the adequate aqueduct operations. However, the proposed system En its modeling fulfils the concerning regulations.
