Municipalidad de San Isidro de Heredia : propuesta arquitectónica de un nuevo edificio anexo

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación consiste en el diseño del anteproyecto del edificio anexo de la Municipalidad de San Isidro de Heredia. El proyecto se relaciona con actual Palacio Municipal porque entre ambos se reparten los espacios operativos del gobierno local. El trabajo es un requerimiento directo de la Municipalidad como respuesta a una necesidad de mejora y crecimiento de su espacio de trabajo, el cual se encuentra restringido por las condiciones físicas del edificio donde se ubican. Por lo tanto, el cliente propone generar un nuevo edificio anexo en un lote cercano que está en desuso, al cual atiende esta propuesta. Aunque el Palacio Municipal no es el objeto de estudio de este proyecto, se hace hincapié en su importancia para los Isidreños. La propuesta trata de un edificio de tres niveles con uso de oficinas y deportes junto a un nivel de sótano, al cual se le añade una propuesta urbana que lo integre no solo con el Palacio Municipal, sino también con el resto del centro urbano. El edificio toma la estética contemporánea simple de los edificios institucionales y la mezcla con los referentes locales de arquitectura colonial rural. El documento se estructura en cinco secciones, una que incluye los aspectos introductorios, un análisis de los usuarios, el entendimiento del sitio, el desarrollo de la propuesta de diseño y las consideraciones finales

This document includes the investigation and architectural design for the new annex building of the Municipality of San Isidro de Heredia. The project is related to the existing Municipal Palace because the two buildings share the operative spaces of the local government. The project is a direct requirement of the Municipality in response to a need for improvement and growth of their workspace, restricted by the physical conditions of the building where they are located. Therefore, the client proposes to generate a new annex building in a nearby lot that is in disuse. Although the Municipal Palace is not the object of study of this project, its importance for the Isidreños is emphasized in the process. The proposal is for a three-story building for office and sports use along with a basement level, to which is added an urban proposal that integrates the existing Municipal Palace and the rest of San Isidro’s urban center. The building takes the simple contemporary aesthetics of institutional buildings and blends it with the local references of rural colonial architecture. The document is structured in five sections, one that includes the introductory aspects, an analysis of the users, the understanding of the site, the development of the design proposal and the final considerations.
