Abstract
Actualmente uno de los problemas que más afectan
al planeta es la contaminación ambiental. Es imperativo
que cada persona haga su parte para bajar su huella de
carbono. Este proyecto presenta una propuesta para
reducir los desperdicios de materiales en la industria de
productos publicitarios. Por medio del diseño estratégico
se presenta una alternativa para reutilizar materiales que
en otro caso terminarían en botaderos de basura.
Para lograr este objetivo, se trabajó con la empresa
Nissi Digital, empresa con más de 10 años de experiencia
en esta industria, como empresa modelo. La meta es
poder replicar este proyecto en otras empresas que se
dediquen a actividades comerciales similares. En esta
investigación se plantea reutilizar estos materiales
plásticos para generar nuevos productos que luego
puedan venderse en el mercado, ampliando aún su
cartera de productos, evitando pérdidas de dinero y, lo
más importante para esta investigación, bajando sus
huellas de carbono.
Con el fin de lograr los objetivos, se trabajan
diferentes escenarios dónde se plantean soluciones a
diferentes aristas del producto, procurando que todo el
proceso de desarrollo del producto sea tomado en
cuenta a la hora de tomar decisiones tanto de diseño
como comerciales. Al final del proyecto se presenta una
luminaria armable hecha con material reutilizado.
Además, se presenta un plan estratégico de introducción
al mercado enfocado en un público meta específico y en
los posibles puntos de venta, con el fin de asegurar el
éxito del producto.
Currently, one of the issues that affects the planet the most is environmental pollution. It is imperative that each person do their part to lower their carbon footprint. This project presents a proposal to reduce material waste in the advertising products industry. Through strategic design, an alternative is presented to reuse materials that would otherwise end up in garbage dumps. In order to achieve this goal, Nissi Digital, a company with more than 10 years of experience on this industry, worked as a model company. The goal is to be able to replicate this project in other companies that are dedicated to similar commercial activities. In this research, it is proposed to reuse these plastic materials to generate new products that can be sold on the market later on, further expanding its product portfolio, avoiding money losses and, most importantly, lowering its carbon footprint. In order to achieve the established goals, different scenarios were presented, where solutions to different aspects of the product were studied, ensuring that the entire product development process is taken into consideration when making both design and commercial decisions. At the end of the project, a lamp made with reused plastic material was developed. Additionally, a strategic market introduction plan focused on a specific target audience and possible points of purchase was proposed in order for the product to succeed.
