dc.description.abstractThe present document describes the design development of a precision plasma cutting machine in the Ficmams worshop. This project arises from the costs of the current process used in the manufacturing of equipment, its main objective is to produce the bill of materials and drawings needed for the construction of the machine. The project was divided in two main areas: the mechanical design and the electric or control design. In the former, solutions were proposed and the necessary mechanical parts were design, also, standard components for the implementation of the machine were selected. In the latter, the plasma cutting logic and control devices were proposed. Both parts of the project were developed taking into consideration the limitations found at Ficmams and the proposed requirementses
